Congratulations to our partner, Oak Meadows, for advocating for seniors and improving their lives. Last week, the Northern Clay Center received a grant to continue to offer art classes to Memory Care tenants at Oak Meadows. The program has been so successful they are planning to offer these classes to its assisted living tenants.
The activities director for Oak Meadows, Megan Longville, said that ‘the art classes improve their confidence and self-esteem.’ With more than 89,000 Minnesotans affected by Alzheimer’s disease, we are proud to partner with a senior care organization that knows the value of sparking lives and creating opportunities to improve quality of life for people living with Alzheimer’s.
