Lifesprk is excited to announce sparking lives at the 2015 ALS Association MN/ND/SD Chapter Light The Journey Gala Event.
‘You have to find what sparks a light in you so that you, in your own way, can illuminate the world,’ -Oprah Winfrey
This quote by Oprah Winfrey’s resonates with us at Lifesprk. We’ve found that when you put the focus on fostering purpose and passion instead of just the medical diagnosis, in any situation, you will find that a person’s spark naturally is illuminated. Sometimes, it’s a spark that can light the way for others to feel hopeful, inspired and engaged in life even when a diagnosis such as ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) has taken so much already.
When ALS took away Bruce Kramer’s ability to do things for himself, Bruce needed to hire a company that could help him live the way he wanted. Bruce, like so many people with ALS, found that his spark, his zest for life, was difficult to ignite when things seem impossible. As Joel Theisen, RN, CEO/Founder of Lifesprk points out in Lifesprk’s 2014 ALS gala video featuring Bruce, “ALS can be so challenging for those who have to face it every day. Yet these are the people who inspire us to be a better company.” Theisen notes that their spark is still there, it just needs the opportunity to flare.
For the second year in a row, Lifesprk is privileged to support and spark the lives of so many people as the title sponsor of the 13th annual ALS Gala. “We work closely with many families living with the challenges of ALS through the Jack Norton Respite program to help them find that spark,” said Joel. “We hope our sponsorship will help light the way to finding a cure for ALS.”
This year’s ALS Gala on Friday, October 30 will be held at the Hyatt Regency Downtown Minneapolis. “We encourage others to join us to light the journey and celebrate the spark in the people and families we serve,” added Theisen.
